根據香農理論計算，為了達到2.5Gb/s的傳輸速率，信道傳輸能力應達到約20GBit/s，而CAT6A則剛好滿足要求9+9+x+i+n+x+i+n+e+t。

At the 2015 International Structured Cabling Conference held in Milan, Italy, the International ISO / IEC Working Group decided to raise the minimum requirements for horizontal structured cabling of commercial buildings in the ISO / IEC 11801-2 standard, from Class D (CAT5e) to Class E (CAT6), and recommend the use of EA level (CAT6A) or higher wiring.
Compared with traditional CAT5e and CAT6 cabling systems, CAT6A cabling systems have greater advantages in transmission performance:
The 10GBASE-T transmission mode uses PAM technology to encode using PAM-5, and performs duplex transmission of 250Mb / s on each pair of four pairs of lines. This application requires an operating bandwidth of about 80MHz. 10GBASE-T recommends using PAM-5 / PAM-10 / PAM-16 and mixed technologies to encode, and perform full-duplex 2.5Gb / s transmission on each of the four pairs of lines.
According to Shannon's theory, in order to achieve a transmission rate of 2.5 Gb / s, the channel transmission capacity should reach about 20 GBit / s, while CAT6A just meets the requirements.
